Valve Springs work exceptionally hard in an engine so you do not want to skimp on parts and buy on price only. Make sure you use quality heat treated and precision machined parts from reputable suppliers.

It is important to use valve springs that are appropriate for the lobe profile on your cam shaft. Remember a stock OEM valve spring is in most cases not suitable for an after market cam, this includes RV and Towing type cams. Generally speaking they are just too soft to keep the cam follower in contact with the camshaft at all times.

Remember a failed valve spring can lead to enormous and costly damage.
